Costumes are a great way for people of all walks of life to express themselves. Perhaps the most popular occasion for costumes is during Halloween. Halloween gives everyone an excuse to put on a disguise and act out a character.

Halloween costumes come in many different styles and pieces—the most memorable are always the most original. Children of course always wear a costume on Halloween but it's not uncommon for adults to dress up whether they're escorting their children around the block on a trick or treat campaign or headed out to a costume party. Some may find the rising popularity in pet costumes surprising. Imagine your pooch as superdog or firefighting fido.

Costume parties are a great opportunity to dress up on occasions other than Halloween; they are a fun theme for adult parties, usually ensuring a more lively evening and adding an aura of excitement to the room. Remember the more creative with costumes the better. There will be more than just a handful of pirates at the next costume event—do your research early to find the most original costume you can.
