Haunted Houses are a must for Halloween aficionados everywhere. Making your own haunted house or working in one can help you get the most out of the holiday. The locations for haunted houses are as diverse as the people who attend them. Some locations move year to year with vacant warehouses others are homemade in backyards and still others are open year round in specific locations or theme parks.

Haunted houses may have all age admission or can be limited to more mature individuals depending on how scary it is. Some props are proven scream getters such as spiders falling from the ceiling or Dracula rising from his coffin. The right music and sound effects certainly build a chilling atmosphere in any haunted house.

Halloween costumes are essential to haunted houses—the more graphic the costume the more screams it will get. Everyone enjoys an occasional scare—and the person behind the mask has just as much fun scaring patrons as the patron has getting scared. Haunted houses are a fun way to get creative and produce enjoyment for yourself and the victims that decide to enter your bone-chilling creation.
