If you travel enough you probably find that bulky travel equipment is overrated. Lighter is certainly better when you're on vacation especially if you are frequently moving from place to place. If you purchase luggage, make sure you check it thoroughly and keep your receipt, just in case. You'll want to make sure that its right for your travel needs. Luggage with wheels is extremely accommodating for transporting your belongings. My personal favorites are backpacks. You can fit a ton of stuff in them and they are lightweight. There's nothing quite as convenient as throwing your belongings on your back. With free arms you'll have easier access to your passport and other travel essentials such as boarding or train passes.

Backpacks are especially helpful for train travel because they're easy to take on and off and are easy to stow. For day travel you may want to utilize a fanny pack or even a small backpack commonly referred to as a daypack. These items are great for organizing your money, snacks, camera and other belongings you may want to carry with you on your sightseeing tours. Duffel bags and sport bags are great for shorter trips since they are lightweight and don't take up a lot of room. Remember to cut as much weight as possible. Do you really need that extra sweater? You'll be glad you left it behind when you're lugging your baggage through an airport.
