I remember years ago when I began my wedding planning one of the first things I wanted to do was choose my wedding dress. A wedding gown is something most girls dream about from a very early age, and the anticipation of shopping for one once I was engaged was very exciting. I knew exactly what I wanted, or thought I wanted anyway. I got to the wedding gown store and told the lady exactly the type of dress I had in mind. She brought me dress upon dress and I tried them all on. They were all lovely, but none of them made me say, “Yes, this is it!” and I wanted that feeling.

Finally, she began to bring me dresses that were not what I thought I surely wanted. It did not take me long before I looked in the mirror and felt like I was a princess, felt like a bride, and felt like this was my dream dress. My point is, when you start this exciting adventure of wedding gown shopping, be sure to try on a multitude of styles, even ones you may not have thought would be your choice. You will know when you find the dress you were meant to have, the feeling will be unlike any other you have felt!
